The released MP Khaled Tafish considered the policy of the political detention followed by the Israeli occupation against the elected lawmakers aims to paralyze the work of the Palestine Legislative Council for changing the rules of the games in some issues like the cause of exchanging the prisoners. He assured the continuous detention will not help the Israeli occupation in achieving his goals.

In a special dialogue with the International Campaign, Tafish pointed out that he was abducted after he was elected as a member in the parliament without any charge. He added that the administrative detention increased the psychological suffering of the MP and his family as it keeps the MP in confusion and thinks if this detention will be renewed or not.

Tafish mentioned that four of the abducted MPs had their administrative detention renewed who are Nizar Ramadan, Azam Salhab, Abed El Jaber El Foqahaa and Basim El Zaareer.

In the same context, he asserted that the abducted MPs receive the same treatment as the other detainees in spite of their parliamentary immunity. Tafish referred to the treatment received in the prisons as the detainees suffer the bad conditions of food, drink and the medical care. . He said” there is so-called canteen for the detainees but the administration of the prison raises the price of the commodities so the detainees cannot by any of them”. He added that a lot of the detainees suffer many diseases and cannot obtain any medicine for relieving their pain.

“The minister Wasfic Qabha has been suffering many diseases like diabetes, blood pressure and pain in his legs due to the bad condition of medical care in the jails” he added. Tafish said that the detainees are deprived from the visits of their families for increasing the pain and agony of the detainees

About spending his time in the jails, Tafish said” we are not living alone in the prisons as there are 100-120 detainees in every section. We used to read books together and to study as many of the detainees got their master and PHD in the prisons”

Tafish considered Judaizing the holy mosque and places are not new thing as the occupation does not spare any effort for fulfilling its devilish goals like building the settlements and the segregation wall in West Bank theand the siege imposed upon Gaza Strip.

The MP Tafish called upon all the Palestinian people to still steadfast in his holy land and to exert all efforts to find ways for uniting as he said “ we have to ignore all the external pressure and to work together for uniting the Palestinian people”

He called upon the Arab world to take serious steps in protecting Al-Aqsa mosque and the holy places in Jerusalem and to lift the siege imposed upon Gaza. For his part, Tafish asked the Arab Summit to hold its responsibility towards the Palestinian cause
