The international Campaign/Special

The speaker of the European parliament, Jerzy buzek, assured his support to the International Campaign for releasing the abducted MPs who are in the Israeli jails for three years. He considered the abduction serious violation to the principles of democracy. .

This statement was a reply to letter sent by the international campaign to all the parliamentarian institutions including the European Parliament, the International Parliamentarian Union and the Arab Parliamentarian Union

Buzek had  attached the content of the resolution of the European Parliament at 4th of December, 2008 which  called for  “ the immediate release of the member of the Palestine Legislative Council”       

In a meeting between him and the released MPs, Buzek said “we will not forget the abducted MPs. They are still in our hearts”

It is worthy mentioning that 17 MPs are still in the Israeli jails. Four of the abducted MPs, Khalid Tafesh, Basem El Zaareer, Ayman Darghma, and Abed El Jaber El Fouqahaa,  have their administrative detention renewed.
