The International Campaign Meets German Parliamentarian and Calls the Speaker of the German Parliament to Take Steps in the Cause of the Abducted MPs
The German deputy, Prof. Norman Beach,
strongly denounced the abduction of 50 MPs without any international reaction
suits the importance of this cause. He expressed his shock of the abduction of
this large number of parliamentarians represented their people in fair and free
election witnessed by the whole world. Beach mentioned that this abduction
contradicts all the international laws and conventions which protect the
parliamentarians who have parliamentary immunity. He added that this abduction
denies the MPs to perform their duties in serving their people without any
legal justification.
Beach met the head of the International Campaign,
Musheer El Masri, in the Palestine Legislative Council. El Masri informed the
Prof. with the latest developments of the cause of the abducted MPs pointing
out that 50 MPs were abducted and half of them were released, and the other
half is still sitting behind the bars of the Israeli occupation
EL Masri said that this campaign aims to
form world pressure for releasing the abducted MPs and exposing the crimes of
the Israeli occupation. He stated that the international campaign sent letters
to more than one thousand international parliamentarians. El Masri added that
the international campaign has three committees; one of them is the
international committee headed by “Jenny Tong”, member of the House of Lords.
Beach assured that the issue of the
abducted MPs mainly affecting the parliamentarians all over the world. “As
parliamentarians, we must have vital role in activating the issue of the
abducted MPs. They are our colleagues and we have to make all efforts for
releasing the rest of the MPs” Beach said. He promised to deliver a letter from
the international campaign to the speaker of the German Parliament “La Marrt”
calling for activating the issue of the abducted MPs in German.
