Series of Violations
The series of violations began when the Israeli occupation abducted tens of the elected MPs after few months of the elections. The policy goes like the following: handcuffs eat their flesh, dirty blindfolds cover their eyes and mad dogs attack them without any mercy. The dirty policy did not stop as they abducted the speaker of the Palestine Legislative Council(PLC), dr. Aziz Dweik. More, the Israeli occupation had abducted the female MPs. the cause of the MP. Mona Mansour who had been abducted in front of her disable child is clear example of the barbaric policy of the Israeli occupation. They broke into her house after the mid night and pulled her in front of her children who have no breadwinner after the martyrdom of their father who had been killed by the Israeli rockets.
More than three years and the MPs of Change and Reform Bloc are behind the bars without any charge. But no one can give blind eyes to the main reason which is paralyzing the work of PLC till the end of its legal term.
The years passed while 15 MPs are inside the dark Israeli jails. Some of them had served their sentences but the Israeli court did not stop renewing their administrative detention for many times. Furthermore, they are deprived from the family visits for more than year and some of them are deprived to see their families as long as they are inside the jails. In addition, the food and the clothes are banned.
Those inhuman conditions affect badly on the health of the MPs and ministers inside the prisons as what happened with the abducted minister “ Wafi Qabha” who entered the hospital due to his bad health condition. The minister suffered many serious diseases like diabetes and high blood pressure as he spent long years inside the Israeli jails.
Shout from the Jails
No wonder that the MPs are suffering the serious diseases like the other detainees as a normal result of the savage ways of torturing. Dr. Ibraheem Abu Salem says expressing his experience inside the jails “they forced us to take off all our clothes as a kind of degrading our dignity. They used to put the handcuffs in our hands which cause holes inside our bodies. We tried all ways to alleviate those holes but it was no vain”
He added” they used to throw us inside very dark and narrow jails. The jails are very hot in the summer and very cold in the winter. If any of us want to access to toilet, he has to shout in order to allow him to go after two hours. Some of us cannot bear this situation due to his old age or his disease which cause many serious diseases like diabetes , high blood pressure, and kidneys diseases ”
In the same context, the released MP, Muhammed Al Tal, pointed out that the suffer of the abducted MPs are unbelievable as it starts from the first moment of arrest. He added that the Israeli investigator uses very dirty ways of torture like Shabeh (position abuse), in which detainees are shackled to a chair in painful positions, pressure on different parts of the body, and strongly shaking the detainee after being shackled for a long period of time. More, the Israeli administrative tries to deceive the detainees by allowing some of the spies to get inside the jails with the detainee claiming that they come to help him so that the detainee tell them all the information which could send him to the Israeli hell”
El Tal stated “after the Israeli occupation writes the list of accusations, the second step of agony begins as the detainees are transferred from the prisons to the courts. In this cause the Israeli revenge appears clearly as they put us in very old vehicles for more than 5 days. We cannot go to toilet and more than 20 hours can pass without food or drink. Then we reach to the court which held for five minutes!!” he added “ some of the detainees shout “give me additional year and I do not want go to the court” . “
The violation continues day after day as the Israeli occupation threatened the MPs to renew their administrative detention as what happened with Basim El Zaareer, Nizar Ramadan, Ayman El Darghmah, Khalid Tafish and Abed El Jaber Foqahaa”
The occupation did not stop violating all the international laws and conventions as they broke into the houses of the released MPs and destroyed their Properties as what happened with MPs Muhammed Qefisha, Ahmad El Rabie and recently with Muhammed Abu Jehasha.
The big questions are “where are the callers of democracy? Where is the international law? How can the Israeli occupation abduct more than 50 MPs who were elected in fair and transparent election verified by the whole world? It seems the callers of democracy did not like the result so they gave deaf ear to the Israeli violation and aggression….. A lot of questions are waiting for answers
