The Secretary Committee on the Human Rights of Parliamentarians, Ingeborg Schwarz, assured the responsibility of the committee to activate the cause of the abducted MPs at its 2010 session during the 122nd of Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Assembly.

Schwarz has sent a letter to the international campaign inserting the support of IPU to the issue of the abducted MPs.

The letter was a result of the efforts exerted by the campaign for activating the cause of the abducted MPs as 16 MPs are still in the Israeli jails threatened of renewal administrative detention.

It is worth mentioning that the committee had discussed the cause of the abducted MPs in its 121st session. The committee criminalized the crimes of the Israeli occupation against the abducted MPs and called for their urgent release
